Before and after Weistec 2015 CLA45 M133 ECU tune dyno results - Over 100 lb-ft of torque gained at the wheels
The M133 2.0 liter four-cylinder is already pushed pretty hard by Mercedes-AMG. Before the 2016 facelift which bumped up the power to 381 horses and torque to 350 lb-ft it made 354 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque at 26 psi of boost.
Many said it was maxed out and we know that is not the case as Mercedes themselves increased output. However, how much room is there really with just ECU tuning?
Plenty it turns out. The peak horsepower increase from the baseline here may only be 18 but as you no doubt know how to read a graph you can see a massive increase in torque down low. There is almost 150 lb-ft more torque as early as 3500 rpm after the tune.
Keep in mind these are independent 91 octane pump gas results. With that much of a torque increase the CLA45 is really going to move off the line. It looks like for big gains up top a turbo with a lot more flow will be necessary.
