Turbo Inlet Oil Pooling - this much cause for concern?
Car is in the shop right now getting a slew of upgrades, mostly drivetrain and suspension related. The poorly designed turbo inlet has been leaking oil everywhere and making a mess. Pull the inlet off the rear turbo and this dumped out.
I've seen a bit of oil in the inlets and IC piping of my previous turbo cars, but never this much.
Turbos are OEM stockers, replaced by BMW 20k ago. PCV system is stock, no catch can.
I haven't noticed any smoke from the exhaust, so I'm inclined to think the turbos themselves are fine, aside from the usual wastegate rattle that makes me hate driving this thing. Upgraded turbo(s) will come in time.
Car info: 103,000 miles, oil changed every 5k with BMW 5w-30, JB4 / MHD, pump 91 oct, Forge FMIC & CP, MS downpipes, Cobb Exhaust, BMS DCI.
Thoughts?
