New BMW F10 M5 and S63TU platform horsepower record - Pure Stage 2 S63TU Turbo upgrade makes 847 rear wheel horsepower

Pure Turbos just continues to crush it on BMW platforms and especially the S63TU 4.4 liter V8 twin turbo motor under the hood of the F10 M5 and F13 M6. This is the same BMW F10 M5 that belongs to BimmerBoost member @allmotor_2000 who ran 9.9 @ 140 in the 1/4 mile.

That was with the Stage 1 S63TU turbo charger upgrade from Pure Turbos and now he is moving to the Stage II. It is safe to say the Stage II turbos are potent as even early on in the tuning phase he already set a new record on the platform with a 847 wheel horsepower pull. Oh, and look at that torque figure. 862 lb-ft of torque at the wheels!

How much further will things go from here? When will the fuel system become a liability? How much torque can the clutches take? Who knows. We will have to wait and see but things are looking bright.

Such an amazing motor and car.

800 ftlbs at 3k? Just imagine if they put a turbo with "normal" lag (400ft lbs at 4k)!

The cross flow manifold + Hot V/twin scroll turbo that separates exhaust pulses also does wonders for turbo spool

At this point I would have to agree the cross flow manifold allowing bigger turbos while offsetting lag is key. Then factor in the much better top end breathing from the heads/cam and it's a beast probably my favorite turbo motor out not counting exotics. To bad they have to attach it to a land yacht I can't imagine what this motor would do in a car like the AMG GTS they need to stick it in an i8.

At least you're able to admit it. The AMG fanboys proclaimed victory before the M5 could even be tuned. I might write up an article on how wrong people were and how displacement isn't everything especially in the turbo era.

It's a great motor and the best of the direct injected turbo V8's but Audi's 4.0 TFSI is a beast too. I also hate it's stuck in heavy cars.

If they put it in the i8 that chassis would break. It's VERY soft to remain lightweight which is why the i8 Spyder has yet to launch.

m157s don't have a terry burger supporting the platform,our new setup made well over 700whp on racegas and meth fully done hybrids not the weistec garbage,similar to ams and renntech but is tuning limited as it can not run over 22psi hits some type of limiters according to tuner its a shame

Amazing but how's traction with this nuclear powerplant? A tuned C63S spins the tires at 60+ MPH. I can only imagine what kind of rubber this beast requires.

im talkin about the weistec m157 turbo upgrade which is a total fail barely 20whp gain from stock turbos n including my brothers car we have 2 more m157 with weistec turbos n they both didn't gain more than 20whp it's a joke
bulletproof v2 weistec trans slipping after 500 miles on our e63 n weistec doesn't even answer their phone after we spent 30kplus with them

Power is only going to go up on this car too. Currently busy hunting down restrictions. :)
