The 996tt is running 1.6 bar, race gas and made around 540+whp on a Mustang dyno, close to 700CHP. The ZR1 has a passenger the 996tt is solo.

Was that an air horn?
ZR-1 got it each time until the third? Looks like the 996tt is slightly stronger up top. The ZR-1 is a beast...
yes it was, and the reason the zr1 got the jump each time is the slight lag the 996 has. also, the 996 does not have the new pdk, so its shifting is similar or worse than a manual. corvettes are known for thier instant throttle response, it's really no wonder why it got the jump. crazy how a stock 997 turbo(S) can smoke a zr1, is it really just the tranny?.
so the 996 car is running tial alpha 28 turbos?
very nice
I know Gustav had a vid showing a stock PDK slightly taking a ZR1 in one run, but it doesn't make a lot of sense.
From a dig, 1/4 mile runs, on street tires the PDK can beat it, but from a roll the ZR1 will win. I'd say even a well driven stock C6 Z06 will take a stock PDK from a roll based on 60-130 times, the best stock PDK run I've seen is 8.79s, with a tune 7.7s, the ZR1 does it in 7.5, the Z06 high 7's, low 8's.
Instant boost twin screw supercharger vs turbo lag. I think by the 3rd race the 911 decided to hit the gas on the second air horn. LOL
I believe the ZR1 is faster in the 60 -130 too, but I would rather have the 997.2 Turbo.
Dont forget the ZR1 is stock, pulley swap and headers = peace out
