Porsche Pajun (Panamera Junior) set to be approved for production - Porsche M3/M4 rival?
The Porsche entry-level sedan named Pajun is set to get the green light for production and will come by 2016. That seems a while off considering the Macan entry-level SUV and Cayenne little brother should be revealed as early as next year. Apparently Porsche wants to evaluate the model for around a year. The Pajun would no doubt mirror the drivetrain offering of the Macan which means 2.0 liter four-cylinder powerplants borrowed from the Audi/VW catalog and Porsche's own 3.6 liter turbo V6 version based on the Panamera V6.
The Panamera already competes with the 5-Series, M5, E-Class, E63 AMG, Mercedes CLS, BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe, Audi A7, Audi A6, etc. This new model would be smaller and cheaper likely aiming at the 3-Series, A4, and C-Class although just like the Panamera likely much more expensive.
No real surprise here as Porsche is planning a rapid model expansion in order to increase sales tremendously by 2018 as a part of Volkswagen's plan for world domination.
