C6 Corvette ZR-1 Automatic runs 9.8@139
Kind of detracts from the car IMO but makes it way more consistent in the 1/4 mile:

Enter Redline Motorsports, one of the most respected late model tuning shops in the country. Now for the interesting part. Redline in conjunction with RPM Transmissions, also installed a special flywheel, torque converter and 4L60E overdrive automatic transmission to make this beast consistent. This is no small feat as there are no parts that are made for a ZR1 with an automatic trans, so everything had to be fabricated (flywheel, torque tube, etc). In addition, the crew at Redline had to get the ZR1s computer to send the appropriate messages to the 4L60E transmission’s computer to make it shift.
