One of the luckiest days of my life!
So it's a beautiful day here today about 65F and sunny, not a cloud in the sky.
I'm working from home all day because I'm leaving tonight to head to Lime Rock for my long awaited AMG Driving Academy.
That's awesome, but that is NOT why it is one of my luckiest days:
So I was traveling on the highway this morning heading home and I was traveling with traffic around 80 mph and a new Ford Taurus came up on me and tail gated me to move over.
I moved and he was going 90ish. He then slowed down to 80ish and I passed by--we did this a couple times and finally there was a nice open strech with no cars and I decided to lose this guy.
Lets just say I went WOT for a little while, use your imagination on the speed:rolleyes:
So next thing I know, that guy is on my bumper and I'm like WTF.
Then the blue lights and siren--:angry-screaming:
I'm looking in the rear view and he points for me to pull over.
I did and he came to my window (dressed in shirt and tie) and shows me his badge.
He asks me why I was going over a 100mph and I said, "well there's no good reason to do so" and I apoligized and told him I wasn't trying to be a jerk.:facepalm
He asked for my license and then asked if it was a new car and I said, "yeah, kinda."
I told him again, "I wasn't trying to be a jerk, I'm sorry."
He then said, you seem like a good guy (called me by my name) and said have a good day and handed me back my license:eusa-clap:
That has to be the coolest officer I've ever encountered (granted he wasn't a patrol officer) and if I ever meet that guy again, I owe him a bottle of whatever he wants to drink, anything:handgestures-thumb:
Let's just say, positive reinforcement works for me--I will be traveling the speed limit for a long while--until I get to the race track tomorrow:D
Just wanted to share my story, not all cops are pricks--I guess I should go buy a lottery ticket today:D
